Matt (The Jumping Flea) Dahlberg is an up and coming artist in the new revolution of ukulele players. He plays with a dedication and passion for the instrument that is infectious.

Having already shared the stage with some of the most prestigious ukulele players out there including (but not limited to), James Hill, Aldrine Guerrero, and 6 time Grammy Award Winner, Daniel Ho, Matt is no stranger to playing right alongside the best in the world. Ukulele Player Magazine writes, “Matt has posted many videos featuring complex strums, finger-picking, and other techniques that some take years to master and he has exhibited good musical maturity.” He has been across the world with the uke, and has been featured in uke festivals in cities such as Seattle, Reno, and even Cairns, Australia. His instrumentals has been described as “luxurious”, “awe-inspiring”, “unbelievable”.

Now working on new originals and arrangements, Matt is trying to express his passion for this four stringed instrument through his performing and teaching. Covering a wide range of songs from jazz standards such as “Autumn Leaves” to popular rock hits such as “Livin’ on a Prayer” (Bon Jovi), you’ll hear things on an ukulele you never would have imagined!

Currently working on a CD, Matt is studying audio engineering and music theory at his local college and is playing all over the world at different ukulele festivals.
